Funding for certain items, as described in the attachment to the ordinance, was approved in the 2016 budget and the work was started and is still in progress. These funds will be carried over into the 2017 budget to provide funding and allow the planned work to be completed. The attached list of proposed budget carryovers includes the information for each item. If approved, this action will increase authorized 2017 City spending by $165,000 for the General Fund and $80,000 for the Streets Fund. This spending would come out of the fund balance.
