DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND

The Bainbridge Island Open Space Study was completed in October 2008.  The Study precipitated from the 2007 work of a then citizen advisory group, the Mayor’s 2025 Growth Advisory Committee, that was considering different growth strategies for the City’s Comprehensive Plan and sought a comprehensive open space inventory to determine what areas should be identified for conservation instead of growth.

 

The City Council formally accepted the Bainbridge Island Open Space Study on November 12, 2008, after a public workshop on the study on October 8, 2008.

This agenda item is for the Council to consider adoption of the Open Space Study.

 



RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION

I move that the City Council forward Resolution No. 2017-19 to the September 12, 2017, Consent Agenda for approval.
