| | | | | | | | | DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND | At the Council meeting on September 5, 2017, the Council moved to direct staff to prepare an ordinance setting the rate for the Storm and Surface Water Management Utility at $184.00 per ISU in 2018, and provide for annual increases for inflation through 2022. City staff have done as directed and that ordinance is attached.
The attached ordinance includes updated text in the municipal code section to reflect the change in the CPI reporting. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index Geographic Revision for 2018, the reporting for the Seattle-Tacoma-Bremerton Metropolitan Statistical Area will be replaced by the Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue Core Based Statistical Area.
