Public Hearing. Discussion of the budget modifications. Consideration of approval of the ordinance modifying the budget as part of the mid-biennial review of the budget.

History:

The City of Bainbridge Island adopted Ordinance No. 2008-11 providing for a biennial budget process for years after 2010, and prepared biennial budgets for the 2011-2012, 2013-2014, 2015-2016, and 2017-2018 biennia. In November of 2016, the City adopted a biennial budget for 2017 and 2018. In July of 2013, the City adopted Ordinance 2013-23, which provides for a mid-biennial review of the budget and for modifications, as approved by the City Council.

The City Manager proposed a set of adjustments for 2018 to the Council on October 17 and the Council discussed the adjustments on October 24 and November 7.

The attached documents provide updated summaries of the changes proposed by staff and as modified by Council.

This public hearing is being held pursuant to Bainbridge Island Municipal Code Chapter 2.82 and RCW 35A.34.130 relating to mid-biennial review of the budget.
