| | | | | | | | | DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND | The attached proclamation declares the month of February, 2018, as "Black History Month" in the City of Bainbridge Island. Black History Month, also known as African-American History Month in America, is an annual observance in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and in the Netherlands where it is known as Black Achievement Month.

I move to authorize the Mayor to sign the proclamation declaring the month of February, 2018, as "Black History Month" in the City of Bainbridge Island and to add this proclamation to the list of annual proclamations that do not require Council approval. |
