DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND

The City Council approved Resolution No. 2017-23 at its December 5, 2017, meeting setting a public hearing date of February 6, 2018, for the proposed Duane Lane road vacation. Public notices were published, posted, and mailed in accordance with BIMC 12.34.080.

 

The Public Works Department has reviewed the proposed road vacation documents and has no objections to the vacation if the City retains certain access and utility easements in the proposed area to be vacated. 

The Public Works Department prepared a staff report (attached) and submitted that report to the Council five days prior to the public hearing. The staff report recommends the access and utility easements to be retained.

 

The Council held the public hearing as scheduled on February 6, 2018, and forwarded the item to the February 13 meeting for further consideration.

 

 



RECOMMENDED ACTION/MOTION

I move to approve Ordinance No. 2018-04 relating to the Duane Lane street vacation.
