DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND

The City publishes a comprehensive fee schedule to provide a single point of reference for fees and charges for City programs and services. The fee schedule includes a wide variety of items, from charges for use of the City dock to rates for the City's utilities. The fees and charges may be updated by Council action throughout the year; staff updates the fee schedule document periodically. Once approved, the fee schedule is posted to the City's website.

 

This resolution approves a new fee to be added to the Fee Schedule to update Section 9, Building and Planning Fees. The new fee relates to a change in state law, ESSB 6091 (effective in January 2018), regarding exempt wells.

 

ESSB 6091 is attached, along with background information from MRSC.

At the City Council's February 27, 2018, Business Meeting, the Council considered this item and forwarded it to the Consent Agenda for this meeting.
