The City publishes a comprehensive fee schedule to provide a single point of reference for fees and charges for City programs and services. The fee schedule includes a wide variety of items, from charges for use of the City dock to rates for the City's utilities. The fees and charges may be updated by Council action throughout the year; staff updates the fee schedule document periodically. Once approved, the fee schedule is posted to the City's website.

This resolution approves several changes to the Fee Schedule to update Section 9, Building and Planning Fees. The changes relate to the recently adopted Critical Areas Ordinance (CAO) Update. Specifically, the changes include:

• Adding new fees as codified in newly-enacted Chapter 16.20 BIMC (Buffer Enhancement Plan; Critical Area Site Investigation; Critical Area Major/Minor).
• Eliminating fees in the former version of Chapter 16.20 BIMC, that are not in the updated version of Chapter 16.20 BIMC (Habitat-related; Special Use Wetlands; Wetlands Review).
• Establishing certain activities as exempt from fees. These activities include restoration/enhancement projects not required for project mitigation. Exempting these activities from fees is intended to minimize economic and administrative barriers to voluntary restoration/enhancement work in critical areas.
