The City's Ethics Program requires the Ethics Board to submit an annual report to the Mayor and the City Council summarizing its activities during the previous calendar year and making recommendations for modifying the City’s Ethics Program.
A representative from the Ethics Board will attend the City Council meeting to present the 2017 report and 2018 work plan (see attached).
The Ethics Board will also provide Ethics Training.
The Ethics Board proposes the following changes to the Ethics Program:
1. Article III.E was previously deleted without re-lettering. The remaining sections of Article III should be re-lettered accordingly.
2. Article V.B.3: Change “receives” to “receive.”
3. Article VI: Under “Elected Official,” correct “the members” to “a member.”
4. Article II.D.2: Clarify the Ethics Program to permit councilmembers to serve on boards of directors or councils as part of their official duties.
5. Article III.D.5: Add:
“g. Determine that, based on the submissions of the complainant and the respondent, a material violation of the Code of Ethics has likely occurred.”
6. Article III.D.5.d: Change “if subject of the complaint” to “if the subject of the complaint.”
